is 2001 IS300 double din?
if so, will this fit in place of the stick head unit?

Hello xxbillay,
The IS300 has a double-din dash opening. You will need a dash kit to support it. Yes that new Alpine unit will fit. Just make sure you have the correct wiring harnesses and the dash kit as well.
