Im trying to put a double din in my 4th gen and im having a little bit of trouble fitting it in, anybody else have this issue? And what did you do?

 

U might need to install a plastic piece kind of like a frame for. Ur double din they have them at wal Mart you have to check the double din kit for your year lexus

 

The plastic unit should just click right in, though I had to send for a new piece 3 times due to defects. Are you using the metra part? If so it is probably factory defect if it does not fit. As for fitting the double din stereo, your stereo will come with mounting brackets that will make for an easy fit.

I drive an 03' and have installed a double din in it.

 

I had to cut some of the dash kit to make my double din fit, any of you guys do that?

 

Nope I thought about it but the double din that I installed had a shell around it that I could take which gave me enough room to mount it. Are you using the metra dash kit or the lexus one?

I dont have an issue anymore, I just had to cut some of the dash kit to make my double din fit
