Question Dash Kit

Need some help on dash kits. I just bought the Eclipse AVN 2454 head unit and was wondering what is the best dash kit to use for install. I know there is a double din piece and several single din pieces that people modify to hold a double din head unit.

My buddy put in that headunit, If not it was similar... He took the double din & cut the ***** outta it!
He still has some touch-up work to do on it but I think its a clean look.

www.l-tunedparts.com has a double din kit that will match your climate controls. I used that on mine

Thanks for the info and the pics. I ordered one from audio outfitters its a single din piece, but I think it can be modified to hold a double din head unit.

with all the different examples of double din dash kits shown and available in multiple previous threads (if you had just done a search in this forum), with the exact part numbers and names listed, why on earth would you have ordered a single din unit only to have to modify it, and have it come out LOOKING modified to fit, when one of these perfectly fitting double din units could be had for less than $20? eh. oh well, your choice!

thats my thread you just linked to...if you bought the BKLXSK1315 i listed in that old thread, its not a single din, its the double din that actually does work/fit..not sure where you were lead to believe you should buy a single din kit..even in the posts above the guys told you exactly where you could get the double din unit.
