well, do you get problems playing "real" cds then? if so, show them? if not, then maybe it's your cdr problems

see you got the line about using burned CD's as well. What you need to do is do your research and then like overwelm the service guy with facts till he fixes your CD player. Try this: The CD player in your car should be compatible with CD-R's since "the MultiRead specification was created by OSTA in 1997 to provide hardware manufacturers with the requirements necessary to make CD-ROM drives and recorders read CD-RW discs." Thats right... 1997... your car was made after that. Most regular CD-R's come in standard 12 cm (120 mm) sizes and conform to Orange Book Specifications. The only ones that do no are the novelty ones shaped like business cards and such. In order to "make absolutly sure" that the CD is not the problem you need to make sure you are using a 650 mb or 700 mb CD and not anything like the 300 mb, 790 mb, and 870 mb CD-R disks since they do not conform to Orange Book specifications and may not be readable in all drives. You can read all about CD-R's at the official OSTA site: http://www.osta.org/technology/cdqa.htm

Thanks :
I had the same problem and my roomate toke the changer apart. He found that the wheel that actually holds the cd has small magnets in it (small motor to spin the cd) has 2 brackets made of really thin plastic holding the whole thing together. It is a poor design he fabricated to aluminum brackets and removed the original plastic brackets and mine has been working perfect for about a year. if i can't get my roomate to make you guys the brackets your better off to buy an aftermarket radio.
