IS300 vs G35
OK, so I went car hunting for a family car and ended up @ a Infinity dealership and test drove the G35. I enjoy driving my IS300 all around but the G35 has a nice exterior and interior and it has power. If we all had a choice to buy a IS300 or a G35 would you guys switch or keep the 300?

is300 vs G35
I really love the looks of the G35 coupe, but believe the IS300 looks better compared to the sedan. Also the added power of the G35 helps offset the weight of the car. IS300 = Curb Weight 3,255 lbs while G35 = Curb Weight 3,336 lbs. Now divide the power per lb and for the IS300 you get 15.14 lbs per hp and for the G35 12.83. So you can see the G35 has quite a bit more power. I am glad i got a lexus because the service is great and have solid reliability. Also with G35 being a newer car than the IS300, the G35's resale value may not be as strong as the IS300 (correct me if I am wrong). I have ridden in a G35 coupe and like my IS300 better. Let us know what else you like about the G35 though. Good luck!

infiniti resale is generally nowhere near as good as lexuses. i prefer the IS to the G35 sedan. as for the power, its geared a little better than the is's slushbox resulting in a slightly quicker car.

NO BUTs or DOUBTs about it, SEXY10 wouldn't exist if i had that option in REAL LIFE G35 is a better car performance wise, and as far as style and looks i LIKE it a lot better than the IS3.

I think he means it was like a boat and needed to be tied back up to the dock .

exclusive matchup
iTrader: (4)
when i was shopping for my is300, i was actually considering the is300 and the g35c. if it was not for the facts that
1) my wife didn't like the exterior (read, past tense, meaning she likes the look now)
2) my wife doesn't like the interior (read, present tense, she still doesn't like it)
3) they were selling at a markup
i would have gotten that

So...the question. Consider the All-Wheel-Drive G35 if you need good lousy-weather traction. Otherwise go with the IS.

I drive both an is300 and g35 coupe. Overall, the is300 is alittle better. The parts of the g35 coupe I didn't like are the cheaper pleather-like interior and the low rear seat headroom (but that's understandable since it's a coupe).
