Hi everyone so recently i was driving on the highway locked in at 70mph, and then my car decides to suddenly die out. i pulled over tried to start the car up again and nothing just cranks and cranks and cranks.

The cranks sound healthy no hiccups but i noticed that i also now have no lights on my dash other than the traction light flashing in accessory mode and the immobilizer light flashing, even when the key is in the ignition.

I can not see the check engine light no matter what position the key is in just the brake, airbag, abs, slip, and traction control light for a few seconds then after like i said just leaving the traction light flashing and immobilizer light flashing also.

I swapped my efi fuse with my horn no help.
I checked my fuel pump fuse the copper wire going to both post are infact not touching anymore but that could’ve been my fault while trying to remove it. (i will buy a new one just to see if it wasn’t me and it really was just burnt out).


PREVIOUS ISSUES WITH CAR FOR THE LAST MONTH LEADING TO IT DYING WHILE I WAS DRIVING:

I have received recently before this situation on a drive 2 codes (P0171 & P0174), and also had an on occurring issue where when ever my fans turn on for my radiator the car would die out or start idling terribly.

Another issue i had before the car died out was everytime i get gas EVERYTIME the car would not start unless i give it throttle. After tht one after gas start it would start like new until i went to get gas again.

I don’t want to poor money into unnecessary parts can anyone lead me in the right direction please

 

171 & 174 are vacuum leaks. You must find them.

 

i checked no vacuum leaks still not working

 

You must have them. That is why you have those codes.

 

the codes disappeared a little time ago when i replaced the maf sensor haven’t came back sense i had no check engine light before the car broke down

also did a smoke test when you told me about it and there is no vacuum leaks that i can rule out atleast

one thing i can say that is weird to me is with my key in the on position i see no lights not even a cel just the traction light flashing and immobilizer light, i also can’t seem to scan the car at all on any scanner

That is probably means the codes are coming back. If the MAF was the issue. You would have had more codes.

 

well i plan on swapping the efi fuse, fuel pump fuse, whole fuel pump assembly, and key transponder as soon as i can and while doing that i will see if i can get a replacement MAF from where i bought it from deem it defective and send it back for a new one. while changing it i will also smoke test it again thank you
