There must be additional codes set, did the mechanic tell you what they are? What is "Hybrid Vehicle Control Module" that is a generic name. We need more information to know what is going on.

thanks for the quick answer LeX2K but there is no other error code only shows P0705, Hybrid Vehicle Control Module located under driver side it’s computer unit for Hybrid, how mechanic explaining there is signal going to the Hybrid Control module from neutral transmission safety switch (sensor) but there is no output signal to the transmission computer and because not recognize D position on the transmission

89981-33150 does not appear to be a Toyota or Lexus part number. Google shows 4 total results. What's up with that?

89981-33170 does not show as a Lexus part number, 89980-33030 does come up as a Lexus part number called COMPUTER ASSY, HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL. Such a module is not likely to fail it's possible the neutral safety switch is not adjusted properly.
Failing that don't know what else to offer.

If the mechanic checked correctly the wiring for short or cut, replaced the shift lever sensor then he should check voltage coming out from specific pins from the hybrid control module with ignition on per manual. I assume he did that and the hybrid control module needs to be replaced.
The shift lever switch was probably fine and it did not need replacement. Unfortunately this is how mechanics work. They start changing parts hoping they will fix it. Then they claim more than one parts broke at the same time. What are the chances though?
You can try to repair the hybrid control module for $100.

So which code is it? They have different troubleshooting process. So you're not replacing for the sake for replacing. Have you spilled water or drink into the shift lever? 2016+ models come with a boot shifter so its not an issue.
P0705 757 Logical inconsistency in shift sensor output values
or
0705 758 Shifting malfunction (open circuit in MJ)

Pre collision system malfunction
I have the same issue coming on my dashboard but it was fine an hour ago I was working on fuse fuses in my hood and underneath the - because my GPS and radio - screen is out so I'm trying of fixed that and then I must have touch the fuse that created this issue does anyone have any answers for that? I definitely caused the problem because it like I said I was working on fuse Box checking for fuses to fix my GPS radio - screen and cause this issue now
