Inverter cooling system - maintenance info where?
I have a 2007 G450h. For a while we've been having a problem with the inverter overheating when the car is stuck in a traffic queue. It seems that whatever cooling system is used for the inverter is not working well. Resetting the hybrid system (via removing / replacing 12V battery connection) reliably fixes the problem, but would rather fix it properly if I can. However there appears to be very little information about the inverter cooling system available online - other than information that there is one and that it is fluid based.
Does anyone have any info on this - or pointers about where I can go to get such info?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to the forums! I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing this problem. While there isn't a lot of information out there devoted to this problem, I was able to dig up the following CL thread where another member had a problem with their hybrid cooling system (see below) --

It looks like an inverter converts the high-voltage from the battery into the vehicle's electrical system. During this process, excess heat is generated that is subsequently dissipated by the vehicle's built-in hybrid cooling system (consisting of an electric water pump, cooling fan, and radiator). My guess is that there is an issue with one of these components, causing it to overheat in traffic.
