I have a 2007 G450h. For a while we've been having a problem with the inverter overheating when the car is stuck in a traffic queue. It seems that whatever cooling system is used for the inverter is not working well. Resetting the hybrid system (via removing / replacing 12V battery connection) reliably fixes the problem, but would rather fix it properly if I can. However there appears to be very little information about the inverter cooling system available online - other than information that there is one and that it is fluid based.

Does anyone have any info on this - or pointers about where I can go to get such info?

The inverter has a separate pump and separate coolant I believe.

Check to see if the fans are operating correctly.
