Need to buy something soon as my daily is starting to break down and I know many have said 07 is slightly upgraded and better but I see a 5k difference in price between 06-07s....

That's a pretty broad question. What exactly are you looking for? I just gifted our 2006 RX400h to one of my daughters. It has 140,000 miles and still works and looks as good as new. She's quite happy!

Want a SUV with decent mpgs...I heard the 06s had a power inventor issue...

There has been a recall on the inverters, so that is not an issue. Find a nice 2006 and hopefully with fairly low mileage, however if close to 90k miles or more make sure the timing belt was replaced....good luck

What if the inverter wasn't done? If i bought the vehicle i can have a dealership still do it?

I've seen a few for a decent price between 75-120k miles....

06 will have a sightly older nav and may not have a wood steering wheel. Otherwise they are identical to the 07. Both were covered by the inverter recall and the dealer will still fix for free if needed. It was a simple board replacement. Check any 400h for coolant leaks at transmission, water pump, radiator. Not many other things to worry about. And get AWD if you can. They are faster .
