I am with SW15LS on this one, not so much on the Bamboo. It reminds me of a Light Honey Oak Stain. But the rest of the car without a doubt is Stunning.
I really like where Lexus is going these days with incorporating a homage to old world Japanese craftsmanship.
Much better then the wacky weirdness contemporary stuff.
Was told the bamboo is only offered on the hybrid models (that's what Lexus service tech told me when she was showing how to operating my loaner vehicle) I had an ES hybrid as a loaner vehicle while car was being serviced. Bamboo was ok. nothing too impressive. I prefer a darker interior.
I'm ambivalent about the bamboo - looks okay with the light interior but probably not good with a dark interior.
What surprised me is the lack of "new" things on this vs. my 2008. Signals in the mirrors, larger Nav/etc screen, MP3...but not much else. My 08 was half the price with 20% less mileage. Not sure if this is a good thing (it ages well) or a bad thing (no significant innovation over time).
I still don't like the mouse/puck multi-function controller.
I just don't like that light orange color...[/QUOTE]

There's something about the orange color that looks...well, I don't know, dated...
The wood trim that is absolutely gorgeous, to me anyway... is the dark wood trim with the light grey grain within it...almost like a dark/light zebra pattern; high gloss. Its gorgeous!
