Default Blinking blue lights

What are the two tiny blinking deep blue lights by the gauges? Sometimes it's only on one side and sometimes both? Do they reflect our driving style or something?

The only blue light I can think of that should/could blink on or off would be the high beam light at night. Do you have/use the auto hi-beam feature ???

It's part of the "black box" data recorder. It takes photographs of you during questionable driving situations.

Like Jim, I think it's the auto dimming headlights. Although there is only one blue light.

Not sure which lights you are talking about.
Time to bust out the manual and compare the lights.

I have no idea what lights you're referring to. Can you post a picture?

Checked the manual but did not find an answer. It's the two blue lights on left and right side in front of the instrument cluster, but underneath the extension of the cluster. Will take a pic when get a chance. They may be just a decor.

these are all the possible instrument lights

the only other think if you are thinking they are for decoration are the halo lights, which are not small nor should they be blinking

Thanks RXSF for the wonderful photo. I'm gonna use it and add where the blue lights are.
The lights are not as big, shooting downward, but blink randomly. I'm surprised nobody has noticed them. May be they are only on 2011?

confirmed...no blinking blue lights on my 2010 RX450h.

wcntan80: you should go and see your optometrist or eye specialist. if you are seeing blinking blue lights, it may indicate a medical problem with your vision. hope all is well with you and good luck.

Where should I start, Storm You asked for it with that statement.

I haven't seen anything in the instrument panel to give off that kind of light. Got me
