I have the RX 450h in Amman, Jordan. Unfortunately the maps of my country are not loaded on the Nav. system so the system is totally useless.

Is there a way I can add the maps myself?

That would be a question for Lexus. Do you have GPS coverage there ??? Some countries don't.

Have you updated your maps / were you able to update Jordan specific maps? I took my RX450 to Europe and I'm also looking for map updates for European countries.

Can I get map DVDs for other countries?
The navigation hardware used in other countries is different from that used for Lexus vehicles manufactured for sale in the United States. The DVDs and USB keys for other countries are not compatible with the hardware in U.S. specification vehicles. Do you have a dealer in Jordan? Where did you get the car from ship from the USA or some other part of the world? That should tell you if you can get a map for your area or not

Iam buying 2009 rx with navigation how many dvds should it come with?

 

Only 1 permanently in the Nav drive.
