Local Dealer saw me walk on a 2005 order to another state because of price
would like to make some from me on this one and get the hold back also.

 

how do you have the msrp already for the 2011? did the dealer provide this for you?

I ordered my 2011 back in the beginning of August and went off the 2010 pricing, and I was able to get a few thousand off msrp.

I ordered Comfort, Luxury, HUD, PCS, NAV, LED headlamps.

 

They told me it would be an 2011 because the car would have to be made for me again (another 3- 4 months of when will my car be in from my wife)had to do the same thing for my 2005 to get what we wanted in it. They show me some reports that had the prices that were mrked for 2011 on the tops. the price that they gave me was 1k over invoce price

 

Very nice. Levinson just wasn't possible in my time frame. Looking back I would have done HIDs over LED, and the 19" wheels I have a nice, but I can't buy Goodyear triple treads in that size. Bummer.

When do you take delivery?

Had to get it with 19" wheels

Just told today must oder it with LED's and not the HID's sucks but what can we do?

Told them to go ahead and make the car for us. Order it with LED headlights and all of the other things on the list. Now it looks like they are removing the LED's light from the 2011 450H wish they could get there act together it is not like they have not made cars before this year. IE get everyone together on what you can and cannot get in a car. Also saw that they are only going to go 90 days on the Lexus Enform program before you have to pay for the service.

 

Lexus has taken the order now in 120days or so our new RX will be in

Yes we do but I think that you should have your car in a lot sooner than me. They will ship yours to Long Beach and truck it to you. Or do they put in on a train to San Francisco ? My will have to go thourgh the canal and go to Jacksonville, Fl then truck the 500 miles back to Mobile. Some time in January for it to show up. Hope you love your car when it does show up and you have no problems with it for as long as you have it.

 

I pick mine up Saturday. I sold my 2010 RX350 outright to get the RX450H FWD. Went with their standard packages so I could get sooner. White with the tan interior. HID, GPS ect. I think the window sticker was 52k. The price hike for 2011 was like $500. I got mine for $500 over invoice plus their $599 doc fee. Feel like I could have done a little better but was taking one of their first RX450s so just settled with that price. I bought a 2011 IS250C at the same time and got it for invoice so feel pretty good about it. I do wish they had tweaked some of the complaints (small ones) on the 2011 but it doesn't sound like they changed anything.

You know, after driving for 20K miles I'm coming to enjoy the LED lamps. The high beams are a bit cooler than the low beams, so there is a mismatch, but only an obsessive nerd would notice. I am a nerd, but not obsessive. Well, not very obsessive.

Most important, the headlights are competent. I've had brighter HIDS, but the LEDS are fine, really.

Enjoy the car.

Sadly, the 19 inch wheels look great, but Goodyear doesn't make a triple tread to fit. So I am cut off from my favorite tires. Those tires will climb trees in an ice storm, and I am not kidding. Oh well. Can't have it all.

Lastly, I've owned many BMWs, MBs, and other high fru cars, but the 450h has attracted more compliments than any of them. People walk up and gawk while I'm gassing up. Crazy.

Thank you not a lot of ice or snow on the coast just a lot of rain 65+ inches a year here this is the wettest spot in the 48 states you get used to it. Is it January yet??????

 

You will get along just fine. The stock tires are good, just not as good as the triple tread in icy/snowy weather. I could solve the problem by moving south and staying there.
