Default Exhaust, is it worth it??

I was wondering if any of you have put an aftermarket exhaust system on the GS450h. If so was it worth it? I'm trying to judge how much you would actaully get out of it. I'm sure at WOT it is nice, but how much do you get the rest of the time and how does it sound with the CVT. Thanks.

worth what? hp gain? forget it, never expect hp gain from exhaust, they are more about look and sound

.....especially on a Hybrid, i always envisioned a Hybrid as an "ultra-silent" green cruiser.

I think that it would sound great at full throttle but anything in between would probably have a droning effect. I put a playlist together a few months ago of the 450h being put through its paces at the Targa Newfoundland. It has (I believe) a Tanabe exhaust and the videos give you an idea of what it would sound like from the outside at WOT.

Thanks, I am purely addressing the sound of the vehicle, I understand that there will be minimal to no gains in the realm of horsepower. Just looking for something to give the car a nice audible tone.

and that is one of the reasons i have not gone with an exhaust system on my GSh; also i didn't want to give up the hybrid quietness which i'm accustomed to. i must be getting old lol, i'm getting tired of loud aftermarket exhausts!

it would just sound weird to hear the hybrid exhaust regularly turning on, and off in cyles.....just imagining it sounds annoying already...that's just me.

The IS-F is doing good, plenty of custom carbon fiber:

Love the car, and I got almost the same gas mileage than the 450h (when not in "sport" mode...)
