Im new to all these new terms what does the term drone mean?

 

Refers to the annoying exhaust sound speficially a LOUD buzz kind of sound you hear due to aftermarket exhaust

 

^^^ yep basically. Drone is the volume of an exhaust at cruising speeds, usually between 2-3K RPM's. And yes an aftermarket exhaust amplifies this sound, some think its annoying.

 

Yes after installing an after market exhaust you might hear amplified noise coming from the airflow. I have a Megan axle back and it's REALLY bass-full drone. But I just put I. Music and it all goes away lol the exhaust with the least drone I think is the TANABE Medallion Touring exhaust. My friend has it and it sounds even better when there is an f-sport intake installed.

 

Yeah drone is pretty much that loud hum sound that you hear from cars with exhausts when cruising. Some hate it and some love it. I <3 drone lol

 

I can't see how you can love drone lol. I get a headache from the drone of my exhaust.
