Hi guys, today a check brake system warning came up on my RX450h along with the amber brake light. No other warnings are currently on and the regenerative breaks system along with the rest of the car seem to be working just fine. Has anyone experienced this or have a clue of what this could be?

The message on the screen is typically very brief and is letting the owner know that repair us needed.

If you are DIY type, you should post [as pointed out] the error codes, preferably with an advanced reader which talks to Lexus/Toyota vehicles. Govt mandated monitoring are for emissions and depending on the code reader they cover some vehicles extensively or for few advanced functions. [Even the professional readers vary on how well they talk to the vehicle].

Without more information .. the worst case is ... the brake pump has failed to build hydraulic pressure [leak internal to the pump is typically what goes wrong]. You must have heard the whirring and clicking with the parked RH450 ... and when this problem happens the pump has to come on more frequently.

Since it is brake related, please do not ignore it.
