Brake System Warning
Hello everyone. I just went outside to get in my 2011 LS 460. When I opened the door, a beep sounded. When I started the car, the beep sounded non-stop. My display gave me these warnings: 1. [Brake Malfunction; Stop the vehicle in a safe place immediately. Contact a dealer]. 2. [Check ABS; Have your vehicle checked by a dealer]. 3. [Check Brake System]. I just want a heads up before I go to a shop so that I don't get railroaded by a shop. What do you guys think this is exactly? Thank you for your time.
If you would like to stop your car from beeping when driving in the future all you have to do is go to the trunk lift up the panel on the left hand side by the wheelbase and you will notice an orange EC m for your parking brake just disconnect that and it will stop the alarm it also stops the parking brake for me engaging as well so keep that in mind.
If you ever come to a point to where your emergency brake will not release or your parking brake will not release you'll have to remove the spare tire and inside your tire kit is a parking brake release tool which is like a long allen wrench that you will stick in a hole under the spare tire and turn counterclockwise this will release the parking brake.
