Hi,

While watching a video of the 2024 RX450h+, I noticed that it has the passenger seat forward and back button on the side so it can be operated by the driver or people sitting in the back.
I used to have that on my LS430.
I was just wondering if that feature is only on this model or is it available on the other RX models too.

Could be a luxury trim feature, available on 350 and 350h. The 450+ only comes in luxury trim.

 

We are not super happy with our 2024 RX H+. I don’t like getting a giant electric bill at the end of each month (San Diego has highest electricity in the nation, and our solar panels are at their limit). Plus the FM radio is possibly the worst I have ever heard in a car (Mark Levinson should be ashamed). And I mean any car, at any price. Is this think broken? Did they take out the rear bass speakers for weight or something?

Are there people still on a waiting list for this car?

 

Well, that's squarely your fault and not the RX450h+, isn't it ? You knew where you were living and your utility and its rate - before you decided on the 450h+ - hopefully ?

Jokes aside, yes, California has absolutely the most atrociously high electricity rates in the world probably (Bay Area PGE-forced subscriber here, PGE makes us pay for its all its wildfire risks, which could all have been solved by raking the leaves properly, apparently ) - so I'm not happy with PG&E

 

Not to be pedantic, does anyone know if they are going to replace the 7 inch digital gauge cluster next year with the new 12 inch one on the Rav4 Prime and TX? I love everything about the RX, but that antiquated gauge is almost a deal breaker for how ugly and out of place it looks in the cabin. The refreshed UX has the 12 inch one in upper trims so I'm hopeful.

Are there rumors of a refresh for next year? I would not expect an instrument cluster change before the next refresh. Personally, I don't find it ugly. I just wish it were larger to have more information on it.

 

My electric rate is high as well, and I have no solar, but on.a per-mile basis, it's only a bit higher than the cost of gas. If I were commuting every day, I'd sign up for an EV rate, which would be considerably cheaper at night. Not sure if that's available with solar though.

I don't listen to FM, so that's not an issue. The sound quality is fine from my phone.

Overall, we love our RX450h+ and have zero regrets.
