IIRC, the original announcement for the dedicated 3-row SUV mentioned that it would be 'electrified', rather than a pure BEV. Most likely it would initially just be a hybrid (PHEV if lucky), and speculation is that it won't be called an RX anymore. Lexus patented a new series called TX, so they might be linked.

 

Does that mean we have to live in TX???????????

 

It makes 100% sense for Lexus to build an RX like EV as it is their hottest selling segment and where the demand lies. No need to make something like Model 3.

 

The electric RX may be the RZ450e trademark.

Lexus had committed to a full EV to launch in 2022.

 

How far in into the future do these allocations shown go? Just for the week shown (dated 4/25), or further ahead?
