Default GOT My fix

Well - I was driving today had a few instances when my car hit a speed bump, an uneven surface while applying the breaks and OOOPS the breaks seemed to fail for a split second. I called the Dealership to ask about the fix. Received the we will call you when it's available response.

Later I receied SEVERAL calls about bringing in my HS. I brought it in ASAP and hopefully it has been fixed with today's update to the ABS computer system. Anyone else get the calls today?

Yes I received a call first thing this am and going in Monday! I've had no problems whatsoever.

yes ... I was also called last-night (Thu, 2/18). I'm taking it in today for the 5k service and the "fix".

The feeling is no different that when I had my 2005 Prius, just not as bad. Mine goes in Tues. Will see if the MPG goes down as I suspect the regen will be cut and the friction brakes used more.

I read a Toyota/Prius FAQ where they specifically said the ABS fix would not affect MPG.

Default Tested it today

I went down a street today (twice) that has at least 6 speed humps and can report the car is doing much better since the fix yesterday. Have not noticed any decline in mpg.

Had the ABS update put in yesterday. I also didn't notice any difference in mpg. The braking characteristics seem the same also.

I'm still getting up to 55+ mpg (unchanged) on my Prius after the software change.

That's good to hear. No call for me yet but I assume it'll come sometime this week. If not I will call them.

I have a pothole that causes the problem every time, and I'm sure the city will never fix it. I'll give it a go when I get the fix.

Just be careful going over those potholes repeatedly, the last thing you need are bent oem rims.

Did you get a free tank of gas as well? My local Lexus of Seattle and Bellevue are offering a free tank of gas.

Scottsdale Lexus also provided a free tank of gas. I'm sure it's to accomodate the inconvenience to us and media frenzy they are experiencing! Good move on Toyota/Lexus' part!

I'm going in Thu for my recall service. Dealer offered a free car wash, but they already have a free life time car wash service at the dealership, so they really aren't throwing anything extra. Oh well, at least they are fixing a problem.
