The pop-up navigation/infotainment screen on our HS250h getting a strange off colour/yellowish tinge to the normal white background. It is not noticeable at night, but during the day it is very visible. I asked around several local car audio shops and they told me that the fluorescent bulb in the display is failing. Unfortunately, there re no aftermarket parts for the HS250h. My Local Lexus Dealer says the replacement parts are catalogued at $450 USD, but none are available. Has anybody found a solution for this issue?

I’m in the same boat as you. At night it’s fine, but during the day, it is very difficult to see the screen especially when reversing. I’ve thought about buying a used unit on eBay and swapping as well. Maybe if someone takes it apart, the bulb could be found once removed?
Just picked up a HS250 in the last couple days and I'm definitely in the same boat as you guys. Screen looks awful. Backup camera is useless. I feel like spending $200 on an eBay unit is just delaying pain by some short amount of time. Unless it came off a car that wasn't used very much you're not likely to solve the real issue for more than a couple years at best.
Never done a project like this but I think I may try cracking it open and looking around at the internals

I found a black HS250h in a wrecking yard about 60 miles from me. It was a recent arrival, so that battery and key fobs were still in the car. The screen looked worse than mine. I am thinking a used screen is not an option.
If anybody has instructions to remove the existing screen from a vehicle, I would appreciate that. I was thinking that there might be some hidden part numbers on the back side that I could cross refrence with later Lexus/Toyota models.

This video shows removing everything below it. Looks pretty straight forward. My guess is if you got as far as this guy did in the video you could likely see the places it would unscrew from. Likely has a plug in the back you would need to remove but it should have some slack, enough to at least do it.
This project is far enough down the list for me (just picked up the car Friday from CA - Im in AZ) but will be staying turned to whatever you find out and if you dont get around to it I eventually will
Don't think used one would be a good idea. .
You can buy new screen from ebay or Aliexpress for $120~140. Toshiba LTA080B0Y4F 8" LCD Display.
Follow the above youtube video to remove air vent, and then remove the plastic speaker vent behind navigation screen by carefully pull it upward. Now the navigation screen unit can be remove.
Take your time to study the assembly and to note what you take apart. Lots of screws. You can have brand new and bright screen in about 1 hours.
I also make a cover (used IS200 cluster cover) for the screen to keep it cool all the time.
You can buy new screen through fleabay or AliExpress. Toshiba LTA080B0Y4F for less than $150.
Follow the above video to remove a/c air vent, and then you need to remove speaker vent behind navi screen by carefully pull it upward. Remove some screws then the whole navi screen assembly can be removed.

I also make a shade for the screen with CT250 cluster cover, so the new screen can keep cool and away from sunlight all the time.

Did you buy a Toshiba branded screen? All I’m seeing on eBay is an unbranded one for $119
I bought it from aliexpress. Although the picture on website did not show as a Toshiba screen. But the one I received is Toshiba branded.
Got the car in April. Installed the screen in June. Very happy with it as you can really see what's going on on rear camera even against sunlight.

Yea my screen looks exactly the same as your first picture. Can’t see anything when trying to back up lol
BTW, the diy shade also help tremendously. You can put a big cardboard or book over the screen to see the difference.
I ordered the HS250H cluster cover as I want to have the same leather outlook. But seller sent a wrong IS one to me, and then it's free in the end so they can avoid the hassle of returning process. And I get to mess it around w/o worrying money wasted.
Looks okay, but the screen contrast is much better than w/o shade, and you can prolong screen life by keep it cool and turn down the brightness as well.

Do you by chance have a write up on how to disassemble the unit? The amount of screws and brackets are super intimidating lol! I might buy a jacked up on on eBay and play around with it.
