Default Email Troy about extended Warranty

I just received an email from Troy with quotes on the Platinum Lexus Warranty. For an 06 GX470 7/75,000 would be 1665.00 and for 8/75,000 it would be 1880.00. We are thinking about going with this.

I did call Atlantic City Lexus for a quote and was told 24 hundred and 29 hundred for the same quotes at Troy. I also asked if that was the best she could do and I was told "Yes the prices are set by Lexus and she could not discount them"

Is that 7 years 75,000 from the date of vehicle purchase, or does this extend your warranty by 7/75 for a total 10~11 years ~100K mileage?

Here is a copy of my Email.

Sure, here is all the basic info and quotes..as well as a link to the Lexus website so
you can look at the coverage specifics, they have a PDF version of the brochure you can
download and review.

The services don't have to be done at a Lexus dealer, you just want to be able to document your
services, just in case you ever had a failure that could be attributed to poor maintenance....in that case
they would ask you to produce records before paying the claim.

I am currently offering the Lexus Platinum Program for 7 yrs / 75,000
miles w/ $0 deductible for $1665.00, or the new 8 yr / 75,000 mile plan for
$1880.00 on the GX470.

Most of the details on the Platinum plans can be found directly at the
Lexus website at the following link, including all the various terms and
options available, just let me know if you would like a quote on a different
plan.

http://www.lexusfinancial.com/consum...pg_VSAOverview

Here are the purchase instructions if / when you decide to purchase.

I would need you to mail me an original signed letter indicating the exact
current mileage on your vehicle, and a copy of your current registration.(If
you are in a state where you don't get your state registration right away, I
can also use a copy of the bill of sale, purchase contract, or some other
official document which shows the owners name and address, along with the
vehicles VIN)

Sorry, I know its a little inconvenient, but its the only way we could come
up to cover ourselves on the mileage and VIN verification. After I receive
your letter, I can call you for credit card info, if that's how you choose
to pay, or you can include a check, money order, or the credit card info
with it. Also, make sure that the registration copy is legible (I have
gotten a couple of them recently that I couldn't read or had part of the VIN
chopped off on the copy).

Mail to:

Toyota of Greenfield
1 Main Street
Greenfield, MA 01301

Phone - (413) 772-0231 (Dealership)
Phone - (413) 772-0989 (My direct line).
Fax - (413) 774-2247

Thanks,

Troy

Oh, I see. The years, are the total years since the date of manufacture, but the mileage is above 50K for a total of 125K. So for '06, 7 years would cover you until 2013. I hope that's right.

I just called Troy, he will be back on Sept. 15. If its 7 years/75 k miles from now, then its well worth it.

I believe it is 7 years and 75,000 total. For me I only put about 8,000 miles a year on my truck so there is no need to pay for more mileage.

I believe you can have up to 8 years and 125,000 miles total if you would like but it will be a new price.

This is how I understood it anyway. I may be wrong.

I just received an email as posted above from him about 2 weeks ago. From what I understand he is away until Sept 15 2009. Very quick response from him by email. I have yet to decide weather or not I will get the extended warranty due to weather I'm keeping the truck another 4 yrs.

Does anyone know if they trade the truck in with this warranty do you tend to get more on trade in? I thought someone said you could transfer this warranty one time or Lexus would pro rate it and give you back the balance. I was also told by another dealership that you can pay for this monthly and when you trade in your truck you would just stop paying on the warranty. Now I'm not really sure on that one as I don't have too much confidence in what is told to me at the dealership,

u can buy the warranty before 4 years or 50k miles. dont have to buy it now. prorata refund starts from ur in service date, not the date u buy the warranty. refund depends a lot on if u have used it or not.
hope it helps.

I have the 7/100k extended on my 2006 GX (got it when I bought new).
I'm approaching 70K on it now.
Anyone extend the extended warranty?
What kind of plans are out there for this?
I'd like to stay Lexus warranty if possible.

I don't think you can extend the extended warranty through Lexus.....
