There is another thread on here about this, but for conversation sake, I use the Thule Atlantis 1800 in silver. Looks cool

Let me give this picture thing a try... Not a great photo but you get the idea. And yes those are fishing rods in a rod holder mounted on the other side of the cargo box.

hkochat appears to have the Thule Ascent 1600. It could be the 1800, but from the picture it does not appear long enough. Here's a link to all of the measurements and capacities.

Something to consider when looking at the cargo tops is; will it fit a full-size suitcase? A lot of the lower profile/aerodynamic cases are not tall or wide enough to hold very large suitcases. Many of the systems are designed more for skis and snowboards, so they are very low profile. I guess it all depends on what your needs are. That is what I like about the model Thule that I have, it's still aerodynamic and it will fit 2 large full-size suitcases and there is room for a smaller bag up front. I am not sure that is the case with the lower profile versions from Yakima or Thule. I would recommend visiting a store that stocks them like LL Bean, Dicks or just about any ski shop to see what fits your needs best.

I also have Thule Atlantis 1800. Last trip, I had 4 pairs of skis/boots/poles and one large duffle bag. That's about as much as I as you can put in it - not much more will fit and that's close to the limit of 110 lbs. The box is 18 cubic feet. I had 4 adults and 3 young kids in the GX. I was surprised with the amount of stuff that can still fit behind the 3rd row when it's up. I had another large duffle bag wedged in behind the 3rd row and a lot of other misc junk back there.

That stowaway would be sweet if I could still hook my ATV trailer up too it when I go on my rides

Mine shown above is "Thule Spirit 1600" not "Thule Ascent 1600” speculated by another member. Sorry for the slight delay in my response. I was out of town. The size of the roof top carrier is perfectly suitable for my roof-rack. It sits perfectly in between the front sunroof deflector and a shark antenna I have on my rear spoiler.

Thanks all you guys for the tips. I'll like to know what Capirato has on the roof. Almost ready to jump into a Thule box 16 or 18
