Is the 2013 red tail light interchangeable with the new 2014+ clear tail light?

Yes, both red and clear tail lights set are interchangeable.

I do not like the clear taillights. Many automakers went through a phase where clear was in, and many went back to red. There is a reason they use red on the sports package in my view, to make it more appealing and charge for it in the process. Problem is my GX is 8 weeks old so likely not going to change at this point.

its interesting why Lexus went back to red tail lamps on the sport design package for 2017.

 

Aren't the clears technically considered Altezza's?

 

I must be the odd man out... I prefer the clear... I've seen red tail lights since I was a kid... The Clear are more interesting to me, and look really good against the white GX. They go well with the chrome....

 

I don't know if anyone is interested in a trade, but I'd like to swap my 2015 clears in mint condition for red. I'm in Phoenix if anyone local wants to meet up. I prefer the look of the red with the white GX. Thanks.
