I've read all the numbers online but every company seems to measure legroom differently. Could someone take a measurement from the second row seat back to the back of the front seat with it all the way back. Just looking at purchasing a GX and was wondering how it would compare to my current vehicle for child seat room and it's a long drive for me to find a GX to measure one. Thanks a lot.
That is actually one of the reasons I asked. Looking at the numbers the GX doesn't have very much second row legroom but I'm amazed at how well that convertable car seat fits backwards in it. My current vehicle says it has about 6 inches more second row legroom but doesn't fit our car seat nearly that well, so I was just hoping for some actual measurements to compare.
I bought a 2018 GX460 for my girl friend and the vehicle was given to her parents later, I can tell you theres plenty of room in the 2nd row. I'm 6'4" and I've sat in the back and was quite comfortable with my legs crossed and just enjoying the ride going to church when her parents drove the vehicle.
i know this is not a numerical answer but I own a 2019 audi Q7 and just bought 17 GX for my parents.
and I think the GX has more legroom than the Q7 in the 2nd row. The reason being the 2nd row for the GX may slide further back than my Q7(even though my Q7 has the slide function)
hope this helps.
but if u want best bet is to test fit and test drive the gx with car seat I also have 2 kids 5 and 2 so I always test fit them
I've also seen people gripe about legroom in the 2nd row, yet they had the sliding seats pushed forward! When you move them back all the way, I think there's plenty of room!
I need to go check my 2020, I know the 2nd row reclines, but had no idea it could slide.
EDIT: Learned something new today. Of course, I was hoping it slide further back, but it was already all the way back.
I too had forgotten about the sliding feature and I normally have them all the way back. Yesterday, we picked up a 5' leather love seat and it really didn't want to fit into the cargo hold until I remember to slide the folded 2nd row all the way forward. That extra couple of inches gave me the height clearance I needed to get the sofa in with the rear door closed!
