Were you able to remove the old and install the new trim? I need to replace the front and rear on the driver’s side due to hail. Can’t seem to find any information or video on the 460’s door trim. Let me know.

 

I'm sure all Toyota body-on-frame vehicles are the exact same ... GX470, GX460, 4-Runner, Tacoma, FJ Cruiser ... etc. Would think a friendly body shop would share their "trick" to remove with minimal disassembly and drama ... and maybe even remove one as a demo for minimal cash.

 

To revive an old thread, I do believe there is no way to remove the original without bending a piece. I do not thing it possible to lift and depress the clip without the piece failing in the process.

I just replaced the chrome ones on my 22' and everyone came off bent. I did not break any tabs like most videos have happen.
