Reducing door window frame noise
The front door rear window guide employs sealing foam between the window frame as a barrier to wind noise and that which percolates from the door cavity.
Upon removal of the upper door garnish, I observed gaps in the foam sealing between the door window frame and.the rear window guide and determined to rectify the siuation.
Following images are somewhat self-explanatory..
Discernible noise reduction.
Significant gaps visible in foam seal.between door frame and window guidem
Removed torx screws to access window guide for treatment.
T-30 Torx bit
EPDM foam with pressure sensitive adhesive
Foam applied to gaps
1/4\" thick X 1/2" wide EPDM foam trimmed to seal yet allow clearance for door frame trim cips.
Foam used for project. Obtained from McMaster-Carr.

I finally got around to having this done to my car, and it solved my driver wind noise problem. Thanks YODAONE.
