#Mark #Levinson ( #ML ) discussion / questions / problems
The sub was rattling because one of the mounts that secures it to the frame had snapped loose. The fix we plan to do is to make a new enclosure in there using some "slurrie" - kind of a polymer/fiberglass mix. Should do the trick.

I recently purchased a 2016 Luxury GX. Love it so far, except for this supposedly great ML sound system. I’ve tried so many adjustments but can’t seem to get a full sound...Appears to miss “ channels “ of sound. Very weak base no matter the position. Best sound I can get is to position most sound to rear. I feel maybe sound speakers are not responding or maybe blown? Any advice is greatly appreciated. (I’m coming out of a 2011 Infiniti FX (had two for 16 years) which has fabulous Bose sound.)
Make sure it is adjusted properly? Ours sounds amazing and was a 'must have' when we were shopping for our GX. No matter what genre of music I play, it always sounds great. What source are you using for your music? If you're using low quality MP3s or streaming via BT, the quality might suffer.
Mine too sounds great! Just out of curiosity, what type of music are you into? Have you gone through the manual yet?
If you're into hip-hop, rap or other bass-centric genres of music at elevated volumes, yes you may be disappointed.
This was just discussed a few posts ago, and one suggestion I made was that you could add a small amp and sub-woofer.
Good friends of mine purchased new, two years ago a 2017 4Runner with everything and they too were disappointed with the sound and did just that, when to a quality sound shop and added an amp and sub-woofer. The new 4Runners are the essentially the same platform as our GX's (150 series). Note that my friends and I are in our mid to late 50's so if we're needing a bump in sound quality, it's not because we're trying to rattle windows going through neighborhoods.

I listen to classic rock, 60s, 70s, 80s, Beatles, The Bridge, The Blend, etc. via XM. I also listen to Pandora via Bluetooth. Can’t figure out if surround sound is good or not??! Sometimes it’s, good, sometimes, it’s not?? So instead I’ve been listening to a lot of comedy channels! Lol!
Yea, I sometimes listen to Classic Radio on satellite radio, especially if I'm feeling sleepy on a long drive. Focusing on the story helps keep me awake.
I don't notice any difference with seat arrangement.
