I got use to it. Coming from 2018 Subaru Outback, it wasn't a deal breaker. Although, I would really prefer to have one. At the end of the day, I can still use my phone to listen to music and still use my phone to navigate. Besides, I think AA implementation sucks, unless they can make it a wireless Android Auto, it's not that much of a difference. When I had my Outback, I hate it when I go to a drive thru starbucks and I have to unplug my AA so I can pay with my phone. Constantly, plugging and unplugging my phone screwed the my Pixel 2XL charging port. It's basically a wear and tear.
I'm assuming this will integrate access to the HVAC's fan and vent controls since those are software-only buttons in this vehicle?
I believe it acts as a separate app within the stock software, so its supplemental not a full replacement, but I haven't used it so someone may have to correct me.

This! It's infuriating because the usb connection port is a little wonky and the AA will often cut in and out of connectivity if I move my phone from one cup holder to another or something. They should just stop making wired AA and move straight to wireless on all future vehicles.
Installed Android / Carplay interface into OEM system
2017 Lexus GX Premium.
Android / wireless CarPlay installed
Works
The Install is easy if you know how to remove a stereo. No wire splicing. All plugs into your stereo with a harness they provide.
How it works: You hold the Home button on your stereo it turns on the Android interface with a notable click. You click the mode button on your steering wheel to switch to Aux to hear it.
Issues: If you are using wireless CarPlay, Make sure to switch your Aux settings in the Setup to A/V input instead of USB.
Few issues with oem aux / USB port creating hiss at high volume. Lexus problem not Lsailt.
Anyways it worked out including dvr via USB I added from another brand.
I got it on Sale (I think price is higher now.) However they said group purchase is possible if 5 people order it and not through the aliexpress but direct. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32839646985.html

Reason: tags
1) I forget who had one installed as well, but did you too install a screen ontop of the Lexus/current unit?
2) Any issues with scrolling?
3) I assume firmware updates, hard resets/reboots require the whole dash to come apart?
4) What android version is the Lsait box using?
5) Any issues with call quality on the lexus bluetooh side?
6) The hissing sound i assume is interference from the Lsait box, any shielding tips?

1) No its the OEM screen. Lexus uses GVIF cable display and use touch function of the system.
2) No issues with scrolling at all.
3) Firmware updates are done through wifi using your phone hotspot or wifi in your house. Perhaps a coffee house.
4) The box is 7.1 (you can see it in product link I provided https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32839646985.html) but it is upgraded to 9.0
5) I have had no issues at all with Quality or Lexus bluetooth. All works as it did before.
6) Hissing sound came from Lexus Aux Port. It actually exists right now if you switch to aux dont play any sound and turn volume to max you will hear it.
