How do you like it and what model did you get? I've heard they can only program using their own TPMS sensors.
That's interesting. My Autel TPMS tool does ask me if I want to change ID base (Dec vs Hex) for viewing or entering a sensor ID, but it will always program the ECU in Hex (technically binary in Hex base, 4bit wide per char of ID, etc).

Default Techstream Setting to disable smart key proximity sensor?

Hello, anyone know the techstream setting to disable the smart key proximity sensor? I am wanting to do so to discourage the smart key relay-attack. I know many of you have your opinions on this matter but I am asking for responses on correct setting in techstream. Thanx in advance.

That should be in your Door Lock Settings in infotainment

Thanks acrad......that did the trick. I've now disabled the smart key sensor and no longer worry about walking out to an empty driveway. I can no longer use my credit card smart key but only a minor loss.

Amazon Amazon

This device was reported from a GXOR member to have basically full Techstream functionality. It can even perform active tests.

Default Mongoose and Techstream Lite?

How would I go about buying this for a '22 GX? I see the Mongoose is $500 but how do I go about buying Techstream Lite?

There are some very inexpensive, but good, choices available on Amazon...

Look for MiniVCI

There is also an excellent write-up on how to get and use a VM-based TechStream in the Forums here, too... please use the search feature.

Thanks for above info. That is exactly what I plan to do, to disable auto tilt of steering wheel when exiting/entering the car. I have 2015 GX premium, will TS version 12 work with 1.4.1 firmware mini vci cable or I have to use 2.0.4 cable. I have a windows XP. thanks.

v12 w/1.4.1 should work....biggest difference between 1.4.1 and 2.0.4 from my experience was you couldn't view live engine data with 1.4.1.

Thanks Acrad.

In my case, TS v10.30.029 and 1.4.1 firmware/cable worked to disable auto tilt-away of my 2015 GX. It is quick 2 min work if not less.

However, I found out that TS v12.xx.xx doesn't work for me and customization menu is missing, as reported by this post (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...-settings.html)

I'm purchasing a cable for using TechStream on our 2012 GX. Is there consensus as to if it is better to have a legacy 1.4.8 cable or a newer 2.0.4 cable?
