So, sometimes I haul a little lumber, and sometimes I drive on the beach with the rear window open. The only problem is that infernal beeping - drives me crazy. Is there any way to turn off the beeping (or alert) for just that window?

Perfect, thank you. I may fabricate something that allows me trick the latch and remind me that I flipped it "closed." I'd love to explore the toggle switch idea as well, and I think that would be great to have mounted up front for convenience.
