Just FYI, with the engine off, the fluid will be pumped when the steering wheel is turned. I don't start the engine when I do a power steering flush.

The factory fill is supposed to be Toyota 08886-01206

I know they specify ATF in the manuals..

Changed the PS fluid on my 2017 this weekend at 57k miles. I used the Toyota ATF (highway robbery at $14/quart). The old fluid was black and smelled burnt. New fluid is bright red and clean. Used my Mityvac fluid extractor and pulled old fluid out of the return hose until new red fluid began to be removed (kept reservoir full of new fluid while this happening). It took just under two quarts for a full flush. The steering is again silky smooth and quiet. This only took about 15 mins to complete and I am a bit embarrassed I waited this long to do it. Very simple job with immediately satisfying results.

I had previously done the change and drive method via PS reservoir …. rinse/repeat until near full diluted fluid exchange had been performed. I had mentally missed tips that fluid circulation occurs with steering wheel movement even while off. I jacked up both sides and made for easy full power steering fluid exchange. I did around 10 full… left to right passes on steering wheel before the next fluid swaps.

... front wheels raised using jackstands ... or easier ... triple fold over plastic heavy duty yard waste bags and drive front tires onto the bags on a smooth garage floor ... very easy to steer thru full L-R lock ... close to as if on smooth ice. One L-R sweep with engine off comes close to emptying the reservoir if the return line is fed into a waste container.
