The OBD is exposed and can be easily accessed. The easiest way to get to it is by standing outside the driver side door. Peek underneath the dash and follow the brake pedal “arm” into the dash area. You’ll see the OBD connector next to the brake pedal. It’s white in color.

I don’t remember if mine is KW901, it may very well be as I got it about 3 years ago. Get the wifi version because it will work with IOS and Android and free up your Bluetooth for something else.
The linked one from amazon will work as well as the one below from ebay.

That's definitely over charged. If you have any co-worker or friends who speaks or read Chinese, who can follow my original post and purchase from Taobao website for roughly $80 - $100 which included shipping via EMS (about a week to your door step).

So the only one confirmed to work properly is the one from the taobao site, the "JIO?" Is the flashing hazard when door open function unalterable?
I am primarily looking for auto folding and windows up when locking, i couldn't care less about the rest. Any ideas?
The function is not alterable. However, from others reporting, if you specified to vendor for ones made for GX400 instead of GX460, it seems disabled door open flashing. GX400 is the variation Lexus produced for Asia market. I can not confirm nor dispute if that holds truth. From technical spec, other than the engine displacement, there should not be any other spec changes. When I got my first JIO for GX460, it didn't flashing for door opens, but subsequent ones do. So I guess it is one kind of hit or miss function must be affected by some other configurations. As you said, as long as the mirror folds, windows roll up, I can live with either way.

I have an inquiry in with one offered on alibaba, one on DHGate, and one on ebay to confirm their functionality and compatibility so if I see any positive progress with those I will update.
any guesses if the one on Taobao or this one on Aliexpress might work for a 2012 model with folding mirrors? I see that these all show for 2014+ models
