Thanks for the link. I did not know there was giant thread on this. Used the OBD module as well. From what I understand, windows down is the only function TS allows not windows up. And of course mirror auto fold is not an option.

do you have a 2020 Base, premium or luxury?

From what i remember reading, only luxury trim has the power folding mirror modules. If you don’t have the button to powerfold under the mirror controls, you’re out of luck.

 

Thank You for that tip! I ordered mine from Aliexpress about 3 weeks ago, and it finally arrived in my mail last week. I just installed it on my 2019 GX; took all of 10 seconds to plug it in! Easy peasy and now mirror fold upon locking and open on unlock. When I purchased it, the seller in China said he'd send an extra cable?? This cable was in the box, but I have no idea wtf it's for? Anyone?

 

Kinda looks like an OBD adapter of some sort. Wonder if Prados can plug in similar adapter at alternate location? Just speculation...

 

I have no idea, i didn't get such a cable with mine.

 

If I remember correctly, this cable goes to the harness that is connected to mirror switch. Not sure what the advantage of this other than disables auto windows up after lock, as the OBD device can not separate folding mirrors and auto windows up functions. This one is basically a direct link from the mirror switch to the ODB port. Just a guess. This is the first time I saw such cable adapter.

 

Does anyone’s instrument cluster light up like a Xmas tree when the WINSGO OBD adapter is plugged in?
All the functions seem to work, but cluster lights keep flashing even while driving.

 

No sir, mine was fine. Maybe you got a bad one? Maybe they programmed it for a the wrong vehicle? Are all the dash lights gone when you unplug it?

 

I installed mine last week on my 2011 and have had zero issues. Yikes!

 

This is cool but guess one couldn't use a ScanGuage and this at the same time right?

 

I’ve heard of a few successfully running an OBD splitter with it .....technically not recommended though from what I have read

Sounds like a defective one or not for correct model a few posts up. I had a test one that was actually for a 200 series Land Cruiser years back and while it didn’t make dash lights flash it did all kinds of of odd things with lock actions.

 

Fiddled with it a bit and don’t know what I did but the lights stopped flashing. However wife got spooked by it so there’s $30 down the drain
