Acrad- I’ve read that thread as well. Maybe just me but it seems like the problem is all over the place. Some say the lean is only when parking while others say it leans when parking and driving.

Owned a 2010 GX with zero lean issues. My 2014 leans to the right...sometimes. I went in and had the TSB spacer fix and it did absolutely zero difference. There’s a video on how to reset it which I admittedly haven’t tried since I bought a Dobinsons lift with their version of how to address the issue with a slightly taller coil.

Does this lean affect ride quality or handling or premature wear & tear?

I don’t think ride quality will be affected but pretty sure handling and/or emergency maneuvers will be compromised.

So was the lean on your GX constant or it leveled out when driving prior to your lift?

Most things I have read seemed to indicate it was more or less just aesthetic. You can find this show up in KDSS threads for GX 470s and LCs as well.

I guess I always thought the TSB fix for this was replacement of the front right coil spring but this TSB states the left front one is replaced

sometimes it would slightly lean and sometimes it wouldn’t. It made absolutely no sense.

I agree, I have a sight lean and there is no effect to driving/feel. Purely aesthetic and sometimes it does go away (for weeks/ months) and the there are times I can’t unsee it.... you’ll be fine if it’s the only compromise.

i will try the timbren

Thank you all for chiming in

Update- the selling dealer serviced the GX today and sent additional photos from the rear per my request- truck looked even. Strange!

I don’t care if mine leans. Seeing dealers put spacers etc to try and fix this gives me heartburn! Why you guys let dealers attempt this with bandaid stuff?!

Not sure if you were making a general statement or referring to my post. This dealer did not do anything with the suspension. They performed your typical 5k mile service including oil, tire rotation, fluid checks, and whatever else needed for state inspection. I just find it interesting that it didn’t lean when it was in service- possibly parked on uneven pavement when I was there looking at it. This is inline with the numerous threads I’ve scoured over. With that said I do agree with you using spacer or installing shorter spring at left front to correct the issue is a temporary fix.

Not at you but at others so intent on fixing a "problem" that is purely cosmetics. Sorry, i do NOT trust any dealers at modifying my powertrain or suspension...especially modifying it out of spec from factory.

This document is from Radflo site. If should help to level the KDSS lean issue.

Unhappy Fixing the lean issue?

Hi, all, after getting my 2018 gx460, I found out I am also lucky enough to have a unit that leans to the passenger side. I researched a lot and did try to adjust the KDSS, however, the KDSS control on GX460 is very different from the prado 200 and there doesn't seem to be any valve I can turn. So I am thinking of putting struct spacer or spring spacer, has anyone had experience on this? does KDSS makes this spacer placement more difficult? Thanks for any feedback.
