I wanted to get everyone's opinion this modification. Does anyone think that switching the window panel for the GX with the window panel from an RX will give the GX auto fold side mirrors? There would have to be some modifications made to the wood to make the switches fit. What do you think?
Installing this switch assembly would make the dash mounted side mirrors redundant and non functional. Here is a picture of the RX switch assembly with the integrated side view mirror controls with the auto folding feature.

 

Is this mod just to get the auto feature?

Yes, I want to modify the the GX so that it has the auto fold feature.

 

i dont think it would work. the button on the gx requires you to press it. so how is it that the rx button would automatically fold it?

 

On the RX once the auto switched is set the mirrors fold in when the car is locked.

 

that would be a great idea, can u take pics and list all items needed for the feature? and is it for the gx460 or 470? i have an 06 gx470
