Default Automatic folding side mirrors?

Does anyone know if it's possible to fold the side mirrors automatically when shifting into park, and unfold them when shifting into drive, for example?

No, there is no auto mode like the LS 460... I think Lexus should have an auto mode on the GX 460 Premium...

You can fold them with the switch, but not automatic.

On the LS 460, when you lock the doors, the mirrors fold in when set to auto mode.

Yep, that's what I said earlier, no auto mode on either the premium or standard GX 460...

nope, I don't think so, that is not a program, you need to get the LX to have it automatic fold itself when turn off the car LOL

Craig, I'm curious, since you have the LS and the GX, did you address this with your dealer?

Seems it would be easier to have a consistent function across all models.

Yes, when I took delivery, I asked this question. There is no auto switch for the mirrors like on the LS 460. I had an LS 430 that folded them when you shut off the ignition. The LS 460 folds the mirrors when you lock the doors. That's much better in my opinion. When parking on a street, you couldn't see if any cars were coming with my LS 430. I don't know why Lexus left that off of the GX 460.

Since a computer system controls most of the electrical stuff, maybe it's possible that there will be a software "upgrade" that will have more customizable options, such as automatic folding mirrors and louder volume for GPS guidance, or anything along those lines.

I doubt it for the mirrors. My LS 460 has an auto mode on the mirror switch. The GX doesn't have an auto mode switch...

Because they don't want to make it looks like the LX

So odd... I somehow thought the GX had the auto mode. LX indeed has it.

I believe the mirror housings on the LX are exactly the same size and shape as on the GX, except the GX has the blinkers that I wish the LX had. Maybe I can give someone the Auto fold button in exchange for some mirrors with lights

Really strange that the LX doesn't have the blinkers on the mirrors yet. They've added them to the LS...

The basic features should be consistent across all models.

Also strange, you can't get HID headlights on the LX 570...
