Default Isolate lock on Rear Door

This is new ride for me (2020 GX460) and need a bit of help.
I need to isolate the locking of the rear door to limit unlocking to my action/decision.
I think an electric cutoff switch is the answer but need to find harness location

Any ideas or advice is welcomed

Do you mean independent locking/unlocking of the rear swing door? So that you can control the lock/unlock state independent of the other doors?

I'll take a look through the SM when I have time. Here's a link to the 7,286 page SM if you'd like to search for illustrations and circuit diagrams: OneDrive
What I'd like to add to my rear swing door is an internal switch or handle that unlocks and opens the door from the inside, with and without power. During my highly invasive and expansive custom stereo system build, I found myself trapped in the back while parked up an inclined driveway, with no way to open the rear swing door from the inside! What a miss for Lexus.

Thanks - I hope to cut into the wire that powers the lock and put in a manual cutoff so it only functions when I turn it on - I will give your many pages a look

Default Isolate lock on rear door

You may be in luck, depending on where you live. I just saw a facebook posting the day before yesterday from a guy in Tucson that has made a rear door latch. He also made the the upper panel that the latch “handle”sits in. It looks very clean and factory installed. Best of all, he’s looking for a couple of gx’s to install it in and test. I think it was a member or “GXOR” on Facebook.
