I saw that one, was thinking about to do it as well. Also looking at one for my LX too….. but weighting on the costs, it really add little or no value IMHO. More so, as a critical component for the car, not sure if there is the concern on reliability issues.

 

As awesome as that is, it's hard to justify the price. If it was closer to $700~800 maybe it would be reasonable. During the video all I could think was, "I bet they'll want like $1,200 for this thing". Turns out I was about right.

 

I saw when he (Bob) posted it, but when I seen that $1300 price tag I was turned off. Like someone else said, 6,7,8 hundred maybe. But not 13

 

The guy seems to post sponsored content. He recently did one about an aluminum radiator. The issue is that the manufacturer has a terrible reputation; you can just google and see how bad it is. Based on that, I would not take an advice from him on any particular brand.

 

He does install and review videos, it's up to you to do your due diligence when dropping that kind of coin. GX*Bob is highly respected in the GX community regardless of the product reviews. He still provides valuable content. In reality you shouldn't trust anyone else but yourself when seeking to buy a product. Everything else is just information and noise. Most of us will continue to enjoy his content, reviews included.
