The spring loaded tabs (the pointed tabs) for my front cupholders
on my '21 460 have been pushed into the holes never to be seen again. Now the cupholders are rendered useless since every cup/bottle slides around in them. Is there a way to replace the cupholder without going through too much surgery or are there any decent modifications (inserts etc) that are out there to make a snug fit for cups/bottles?
I've found the cup holders the way they come are useless and have added a top insert to prevent cups from moving around. This is the one I went with. It works perfect and should fix your problem without worrying about the bottom part.
I use a Nalgene bottle about 99% of the time, so I went with this (https://www.sweetrockdesigns.com/sho...-460-cupholder) I'm sure you could print it yourself if you have the design and a printer, but I love having this in the truck.
hah! same, when we bought our 21 used, the passenger side cup holder was missing both tabs, the drivers side has both but either way they don't hold drinks at all, it just slides around like crazy, we've used napkins to kinda stuff the area to get a tighter fit
if there are any suggested improvements to the aftermarket ones let me know. i might end up making one. i have a ~3.5" steel bottle which is just a bit too tight for the holder.
I also use cans once in a while. considering making one that works well for both
Have the above ... a great solution to the anemic Lexus design ... fitment is perfect ... so unless you are "64-ounce Big Gulp Person" this is the cleanest solution ... as if it were an original Lexus design. Those spring "fingers" are a joke in any vehicle ...

The Matt one will fit a 2021? just making sure, I wanted the one with the larger driver side opening (3.5") but not sure as on the bottom it says
*** BIG HOLE (3.5") model available to accommodate 'HydroFlask' & 'Nalgene' larger bottles. (Big Hole model only fits 2010-2013 GX460) ***
the older versions have mostly square holes. the bottoms of those will almost hold a 3.5". the newer ones are smaller and wont hold them without using a lift adapter. this is because the tops of the openings are larger than the bottoms on the older ones, and also the bottoms arent flat, they slightly point toward the user

Wow that is ridiculous that they made the factory cup holders worse!
