I looked through the torque specs FAQ for the Engine Oil Filter Adapter (15609-38030) torque specs and saw two potential listings. I need the torque spec for the two bolts and the one nut that fits on the stud to mount the adapter to the block. One listing shows 15 N*m and another shows 35 N*m. Would anyone know which one is correct? Or if neither are correct and it is something else?
Worth checking standard torque recommendations for the size metric bolt into aluminum ... as a sanity check. Also note that torque specs assume dry assembly ... meaning no lubrication.
Thanks for the responses confirming the torque. I was under there this weekend and without removing the fan, I didn't see a way that a torque wrench can even fit in there. Not much room in that area with the hard tubing right next to the adapter.
Has anyone had success removing and replacing the adapter? Seems like it may be more involved than just those 3 bolts.
