Default steering wheel tingling

Hi Guys, new owner of a mint condition 03 gx470 with 68k on it that I've been trying to buy for 10 years from a friend of mine who was the original owner. He finally decided to sell it since they just had not been using it for several years. I knew I was going to have to spend a little money on it for belts, water pump and found a small leak in the radiator so replaced it. I also replaced all the fluids, spark plugs etc from stem to stern just so I could get back yo ground zero on the car.
Everything works beautifully on the car but I have what I would call a high freq tingle in the steering wheel starting about 1200 rpm just enough to be noticeable and it"s driving me crazy! It's in the shop right now having motor mounts replaced but have a feeling that's not it so has anybody else had this problem? Any ideas on what else I should check? I hate to keep throwing money at it but I love driving it and want to keep it gas mileage notwithstanding! Thanks Arch.

So the buzz follows the RPMs, not the road speed?
That's odd.
Maybe check the mounting bolts for the rack and where the shaft bolts to the firewall/dash.

Yeah I think all those points have been addressed and don"t really feel it say below 30 mph but I'll have them double check. It had the very small clunk even though the DS had been replaced in 2006 but had them grease it up and the noise went away. There was a TSB on this and included replacing all 3 pieces of the steering shaft and some mounts around the front diff but that was going to run about 2k. Might have to buy some rubber gloves and a fuzzy cover for the wheel! Funny how even with the low miles and always garaged it still had all the problems that the forums are full of including bottom door speakers completely shot. Thanks Arch.
