Default Replacement headlights

I'm looking to replace my headlight housing on my 08 non-sport, non KDSS.

All I see are replacements for the sport edition.

Is there a difference? Will they work ok on a non-sport?

The sport edition have a tint to them (they look darker). No other difference.

You will find three sources for replacements:
Local dealer: Most expensive
Dealer selling online: Cheaper
Chinese-made copies being sold online: Much cheaper, but you know why...

Here are the instructions on how to change them:

A little challenge if you don't mind. The non OEM are half as much, and $400 buys a fair amount of gas for my beasts. Can you elaborate on the difference?

I bought a set of DEPO headlights and the lenses started to crack in less than a year. Needless to say I already have some OEM replacements on the way.

DEPO is a mixed-bag. Some are decent, others will leak like a sieve.

Mine fortunately didn't leak at all. The lenses just started to go after no time at all.

When it comes to something as important as actually being able to see at night I think OEM is the way to go. I believe the Sport headlights are actually cheaper than non-sport and they will fit just fine. I just don't trust that the aftermarket lights are properly molded so that the light is be cast out correctly. Maybe Depo is close, I have no experience with them. In the overall scheme of things, OEM isn't THAT much more than aftermarket.

BTW, no affiliation with them, just a quick google search.

Rock Auto lists the CAPA certified non-sport headlights for $250. You can get sport OEMs for $270. Seems like a no brainer to me.

If you do a H9 conversion too, OEM works really well.

The DEPO is pretty close to OEM as far as the projectors are concerned. I've taken them both apart and they are almost identical but OEM has better all-around coverage.

Yes! Nothing like almost doubling your light output for only $20! I would suggest the Phillips H9s.
Amazon has them for $10 a piece are supposed to be German made. Rock Auto has them for about $5 but are made in China. May not be much difference in quality but the price difference isn't enough to me to not get the German made bulbs.

I would always opt for German made bulbs over Chinese. Quality is most important. If made in china it could be knockoff's.

I ended up going with these CAPA lights (R & L) from Headlight Depot:

Should be getting them shortly.

I am thinking about getting the same lights. There is another set that is $5 more per light at Headlight Depot, but it is not clear to me about what is different. Please let me know if you are happy with the quality once received. Thanks!

The ones I got are CAPA rated, which is like DOT rated.

They show up today. I'll post initial feelings after i get a look. Unfortunately the true review wouldn't be until 6 months after install.
