Techstream Lowdown
I'm ready to dive into techstream and have spent a lot of time trying to understand what this software can do. Understanding that it is used for pretty much every Toyota/Scion/Lexus out there, I'm wondering if I can learn the following:
1) Can I change the damn units on my nav screen for Climate control from Celsius to Fahrenheit? I'm hoping someone who has my generation of GX470 can confirm if that option in the software works on their vehicle, because this is driving me crazy.
2) Being that it is 2019 and much of the info I find is outdated, what is the recommended cable/software version/operating system (including 32 versus 64 bit) that everyone is running now. I have a Windows 10 64 bit laptop...will that work?
3) If anyone has specific links of where to get the software and recommended cables, that is much appreciated.

Assuming you have a a GX470 and not a 460, I'm pretty confident the C vs. F units is built right into the HVAC and trip computer units, and can't be changed via techstream software.
I have seen that there's now software that works with 64bit Win10, but I don't have it up and running yet so I can't really offer much first hand experience, but this could help:

About program registration...
Registration is made on the specified program ID (clings to the hardware of the computer). For each region (there are four: North America, Europe, Japan, other regions) the key is separate.
