Default Climate control nav upgrade

Hello all, I'm new to the forum. I am looking into getting a 2GS and I am concerned about the outdated navigational system/stereo. I would like to upgrade to a new double din stereo not so much needing of a navigation feature. However I have noticed that the climate control is integrated into the navigational system. I have searched around and some are saying to get the climate control from a non navigation GS and use that instead. Does it plug right in or do I need a jumper harness or what does it all take to make that work? Thankyou guys for your time. Btw I know I'll get those to say get a non nav GS...well it's already hard enough to find one exactly how I like it with the non nav so I'll settle for the old unit and try to work around that.

The heater controls / radio will plug right in just extra plugs. Will need to get radio unlock as well. Being that Lexus used a stand alone NAV receiver normally in the truck instead of a built in all in one unit, best bet is to go to non NAV or an aftermarket double din style. There are people that would really like to get their hands on your NAV set up, harness and all. So be nice taking it out, it cost close to ten grand here to order all parts from Lexus.

Do need the harness too? Its a lot of work to rip up all the harness. I think it ties in with the other car wiring, not sure If I want to remove it causing other problems.
