The screen in my IS350 has gone out and I can't figure out how to get it working again. I've already tried replacing the screen, buying a new battery, removing the nav hack, and all that other stuff.

Now it's getting cold and I want to use my climate control, but I can't since screen doesn't power on. I'm considering purchasing the climate control unit from a base model and then swapping it out with the navigation screen. Does anyone know if that'll work?

 

Good question, and I've thought about the same thing in order to get my heating/refrost controls functional. I would also like to know if the "down-grade" would work as a simple plug-and-play.

 

I think it's possible, but not plug and play. In the fly audio thread, there is this user (linus73?) where he talks about changing the plug of his nav system to be like the non nav system so it can be use with the Fly Audio system, which requires a non nav system. I think he got pics as well, but goes to another thread.
