Need help with the factory bluetooth in my 07 GX. Often wondered about an upgrade. Those I call tell me I cut out about half of every conversation. Any worthwhile upgrade available?

I don't think the Vaistech unit if for hands free phone bluetooth. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, I understand. My post was to say it is for BT music from your device, It does not add another BT "Hands Free" phone connection.

I have a 2004 gx470 mark levenson [ No blue tooth phone capability ] I installed the vias unit so I could access my phones music library as well as Pandora or any music streaming app. I installed it works fine you just have to make play lists with a number not a name like 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 etc can hold up to 999 songs per playlist.
I have a garmin gps and I make blue tooth calls through it and when I do vias will turn volume off on music and then back on when I disconnect call

Got it. Looks like the soundlinq3 also has a USB port for a power source for your phone. Kind of cool. Since this is present, I'll get a mount for my iphone6+. Any suggestions? Pics?

 

I agree. If you look on the product information page at the Vaistech website, you see this:

"What level of sound quality should I expect from the SL3b-L?
The SL3b-L uses one of the best Bluetooth modules on the market, so sound quality is similar to Bluetooth streaming devices installed on new Toyota and Lexus models."

I think this has to be the reason some use it to upgrade the somewhat lacking factory unit in the older GXs, as am I.
