Factory Phone Help!?!?
Hi guys,
I have a 94 GS300 with the factory installed car phone. I have a few questions about this phone. First, I have heard that this phone is supposed to be voice activated, how does it work?? I can't find anyone with instructions about the phone. Second, I heard it is supposed to be portable, how does this work if it doesn't have any batteries? Mine doesn't look like it is supposed to come out. Last, I unplugged the connection to the phone to try and see how the phone would come out, and now the phone is locked. How do I get it unlocked? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I Have a 94 SC400 with the factory phone though I just removed it to replace with another system ...the factory phone is only rmovable if you have the portable plus phone which is also the one that is voice activated as far as I'm aware the phone is an analog phone which is pretty much a dino' these days as very will activate the phone and on top of that the minutes that you'll get will be not worth the time, I had mine activated for about a year and a half and it cost about 25 dollars for 100 minutes period no weekend deal etc so what i've done was to remove the system and installed the s8543 system for the the motorola p7389 GSM Phone and was able to reuse the power supply and mic wiring so that the mic is still in the steering wheel and it works great though I'm not using the system speakers the speaker that came with the s8543 system is just as loud and it also has the mute feature so in conclusion what I would advise you to do is not to place too much energy into figuring out the existing system as it is already pretty much obsolete
