Re-build front axle boots

A Lexus dealer in NJ told me my 2005 GX470 front axle boots leaking, they gave me a quote to re-build both side, $624*2=$1248+tax. Is this a reasonable price? Thanks.

i think i replaced mine with rebuilt axles for half that b y local mechanic...

It's $385 per axle, for OEM parts, from what it looks like. Call them tomorrow to confirm. Based on that, that dealership is ripping you off. And majorly.

I believe the price is for boots only, as they told me if change axle it will be more expensive.

you can get boots replaced a lot cheaper.

Called 2 more dealers, one is $840, another one is $1040 for both sides.
Chose the cheapest, $840. That includes parts $58, 3.5 hours labor $360 for each side.
